Early on the 29th of March, our latest Breakfast Briefing has been hosted at the ISID HK’s InnoPlace successfully – we welcomed a group of the business representatives in the majority of Logistics and Transportation industry. The breakfast briefing focused on Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) which has been launched in November 2016 and the operational models and technologies for the local SMEs.

The Innovation and Technology Commission launched the HK$500 million Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) for an initial period of three years from November 2016, to subsidise the local SMEs on the use of technological services and solutions to optimize their business models and enhance efficiency. ISID with the invited guest speakers offered the ready solution package helping the SMEs in Hong Kong to achieve the aims of TVP for total work efficiency and competitiveness.

Further, we heard from Edmund Chan, HKFA for “Use of Government Funds to tie in with Business Development”.

Edmund took us through the criteria and the assessment of the TVP. In addition to the procedure and points to applying the TVP, Edmund also explored various solutions for the TVP, including Cloud-based Solution, Content / Document Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, Accounting and Finance System, Procurement Management System, HRM System, Inventory Management System, Logistics Management System…etc. to the audiences.

As such, Jim Tsang from ITIS and Gary Ling from SunTrend were next up to share the operational models about Logistics Operation and Inventory Management Solution as well as Document Management and Workflow Optimizing Solution respectively, with the scenario and case study sharing, for the business representatives at the sessions.

The TVP and the enterprises solutions were well shared at the sessions, followed by the interactive discussion at the break, ISID team did understand more about the business need from the audiences and believe that the TVP and ISID ready-to-go solution support the local SMEs on taking the step on business upgrade and competitiveness enhancement.
